5 Fantasty Homes for the Football Fan

November 15, 2015 By Casey Danton

Autumn may have foliage, Halloween hauntings, and pumpkin spiced everything, but one thing dominates the minds of the most dedicated sports fans: football season. Chances are you’re not going to leave the house on Sundays between now and the Super Bowl, so you might as well cozy up in a nook that reflects your passion for your fantasy football team and admiration for eating hot wings in sweatpants. Here are some must-haves for the ultimate baller’s crib.

      Crawl into the Man Cave

Your wife wouldn’t be a huge fan of the entire home being a giant shrine to your favorite team, but one dedicated room will easily become your favorite in the entire house. Some must-haves for your dream man cave might include at least two flat-screen TVs no less than 60 inches so you can catch every bit of action from every game, a sound system that’s all about the bass, sound installation to noise-proof the space outside of the cavernous doors, a floor-to-ceiling wall mural of the home team, and theatre-style recliners where you can kick up your feet and sink into the seat.

      The Ultimate Bar

Drinking Budweiser might be okay for Game Day, but you’re not one to settle for a run-of-the-mill six-pack. Upgrade your bar area to include leather stools, a sleek bar top, and a fully-packed fridge that includes your quintessential hops and IPAs. Don’t forget about the liquor cabinet; always have the right ingredients (or perhaps an engraved cocktail shaker) for your signature martini or weekly Make-Your-Own-Bloody-Mary Bar.

      XXL Backyard

When you’re not busy watching or analyzing football, you’re probably playing football before the game with your bros. Having an extra spacious yard saves you a trip to the local park—and also the embarrassment of having strangers watch you practice your touchdown dance. Wrapping up the game with an impromptu tailgate on your wooden deck is the ideal way to unwind after getting down and dirty on the green.

      A Bar-Centric Kitchen

Your doctor recommends being healthy six days out of the week so you can splurge on Football Sunday. Having the ultimate buffet set up on a spacious kitchen island gives you enough room to spread out the mountain of hot wings and seven-layer nacho dip you’re planning on sinking your teeth into by the end of the first quarter. Getting pizza delivered from Domino’s is a decent standby for newbies, but wouldn’t a pizza oven make your slices that much better? If you don’t have space in the house for one, setting one up in the backyard is a good alternative.

      Game Room for Game Day

You’re never too old to have game nights with your buds. A room solely filled with the works—a billiards-style pool table and a foosball court, a curated jukebox with nothing but the hits, darts in one corner and a Pac-Man arcade machine in another, a poker table for weekly Blackjack, an Xbox and PS4 (or a Super Nintendo if you want to go retro) hooked up to a massive flat-screen, and a cabinet filled with addictive faves like Cards Against Humanity and Monopoly—will keep you and your crew occupied for days.

5 Gadgets Every Man Cave Needs

      September 17, 2014 By CENTURY 21

It’s finally football season! Time to get the “man cave” in good shape for watching football. Setup your “man cave” with the technology you need to see and hear every single touchdown.

Here are five gadgets every “man cave” needs.

      1. A Big Screen TV: Score some points when you host fantasy football, game nights, or movie nights. Project the big game on a big screen.

      2. TV Wireless Headphones: Watch the game as loud as you want with wireless headphones. You’ll be able to hear every call – without disrupting the rest of your family.

      3. Mini Fridge: Keep your favorite beverages within arm’s reach. Use the top of the mini fridge to store chips, popcorn, jerky and other snacks.

      4. A Massage Recliner: Kick back and relax while you watch the kickoff. Some recliners have a built in massager or a built in cooler. Add a large couch and you and your bros will have room to chill.

      5. Grill: You’ve got a beverage and snacks, and now you need some grub. In an ideal maniverse (man-universe) you’d have easy access to the patio and your outdoor grill. If this isn’t the case in your man cave, you can buy a small grill for making burgers or burritos.

Now all you have to do is call up your friends and invite them over to your place. You’ll love having an area of the home to truly call your own. Crush some beverages in the comfort of your macho (and hi-tech) “man cave.”

The 5 Best “Man Caves” For Watching Football

      February 2, 2014 By CENTURY 21 Leave a Comment

      Football

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a man cave to watch the game in. (Adapted from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. She never said this but we think she would concur.)

What is a man cave, you ask? Merriam-Webster defines a man cave as, “a room or space (as in a basement) designed according to the taste of the man of the house to be used as his personal area for hobbies and leisure activities.” It is your mantuary – a place to watch sports, play pool, bartend, and conduct other mantivities.

Here are the five best CENTURY 21 listed man caves to watch football in. These man caves, and the less important rooms that accompany them, are on the market and could be yours to cherish for sports seasons to come.

      1. This Snohomish, Washington man cave has soundproof doors (don’t worry about loud cheering and screaming at the TV), a fireplace, a pool table, and plenty of seating for watching your favorite sports teams.

      2. This mantastic Hiawassee, GA man cave has a television area to watch football, a table for snack storage, and a bar. Talk about a macho man cave!

      3. Play pool, drink beverages, and football on a big screen in this Paradise Valley, AZ man cave. This basement was turned into a man cave so, perhaps it would be better defined as its own manpartment.
