CENTURY 21 Veteran’s Day Survey Finds Home Ownership Most Important Factor For Returning Service Members

      November 8, 2013 By Molly

Today the CENTURY 21 brand announced the results of its Veterans Day survey, conducted online by Harris Interactive.  In honor of its long-time partnership with, and dedication to, Easter Seals, CENTURY 21 conducted the survey to identify veterans’ perceptions of home ownership and the roadblocks they face when searching for a home.

According to 75% of military families, owning a home is one of the most important things to service members upon returning from service.  Among the reasons that becoming a homeowner is so significant to veterans are a desire to have their own residence (73 percent), establishing a household (43 percent) and financial security (36 percent).  In addition, the majority of veterans (88 percent) indicated that owning a home makes them feel safer.

“Home ownership is a top priority for many, but is especially significant to those returning from a tour of duty,” said Rick Davidson, president and CEO, Century 21 Real Estate LLC.  “Veterans have done so much to serve our country.  We are proud to work with Easter Seals to help empower veterans to lead more independent lives and fulfill the dream of homeownership.”

When we say “Welcome home,” we meant it.

Check out the infographic below with the full results of the survey:

For active or retired service members who are interested in Easter Seals resources available to them, call the Easter Seals Community One Source Hotline, (866) 423-4981, or email veterans@easterseals.com.  Visit www.century21.com/aboutus/veterans to learn more.

Century 21 earns pair of prestigious awards for social media campaign

July 29, 2013 By Anna Sikora

Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of the world’s largest residential real estate sales organization, today announced that the company won a pair of marketing and communications awards for its innovative SimCity Social marketing campaign on Facebook®. Specifically, CENTURY 21® earned a 2013 Hermes Creative Platinum Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, and a 2013 Bronze Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America.

“Our goal with our SimCity Social Facebook campaign was to connect with an important new audience – online gamers — in an innovative, engaging and relevant way,” said Bev Thorne, chief marketing officer of Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “These awards acknowledge our commitment to providing our real estate professionals with unique opportunities to reach a new generation of home buyers and sellers.”

Administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.

Hosted by the Public Relations Society of America, the Bronze Anvil Awards celebrate the “best of the best” in public relations tactics — the individual items or components that contribute to the success of an overall program or campaign. This year’s competition drew a total of 759 entries, of which, only 50 organizations were selected by the Bronze Anvil Judges as Bronze Anvil winners, demonstrating the high standards applied by the judges in their evaluation process.

Real-estate agents say that young people are buying more expensive homes than previously. They are also more likely to buy several properties, and use one as an investment. Buying real estate has grown more attractive, these young buyers say, compared with the stock market, which appears riskier to a generation that entered the workforce during a market correction.” Continue reading . . .
